Directions to UMass Amherst From the East and West: Take the MassPike (Rt. 90) to Springfield. Take the Interstate 91 North exit. Follow "from the South" directions below. From the South: Take I-91 North to Exit 19 (Northampton/Amherst exit). At the end of the exit, turn right at the light onto Rt. 9. You'll go over the Connecticut River. Continue on Rt. 9 for 4 1/2 miles. There's a light across from a mall (the Hampshire Mall); in about 1/4 mi you'll turn left onto Rt. 116 (there's a light there, and it'll say towards UMass - a 'Staples' store will be on your right). Take the first exit (it's about 1 1/2 miles) -- it'll say UMass, turn right off the ramp. You're now on campus. Directions to the Integrated Sciences Building (ISB), 661 North Pleasant St., Amherst, MA 01003 In about 1/4 mi you'll go through flashing yellow lights; immediately after that there is a real set of lights. Turn left at the next real set of lights onto North Pleasant Street (this is about 1 mile after the Rt. 116 exit). In 1/2 mi, you'll pass the ISB on your right. It's a large, modern brick and glass building. Turn right into lot 63 just past the ISB and park. Parking is free and you don't need a permit on Saturday. Enter the ISB thru the main entrance on Pleasant St. Signs will be posted directing you to the conference. On the campus map, you entered campus at coordinates A-5 (bottom left), the Integrated Sciences Building is near the top of C-3, and lot 63 is at the bottom of C-2.
