Chemistry Community (includes adjunct faculty): 36-42 x 48-72= $25.00; 42 x 72=$40.00
Non-Chemistry Community: 36-42 x 48-72= $40.00; 42 x 72=$60.00
File formats: PowerPoint,
Illustrator and Photoshop. If you are using any other program,
please save or export as a PDF. There have been problems with
converting between a PC and a Mac, so if in doubt have a PDF
version as well.
There are problems with the ink fading.
This ink is suppose to last for up to 3 months.
Lately I am finding that it seems to be lasting about a month.
If you need
your poster to last, it is recommended that you store it in
a poster tube. I am testing a new coated paper which is suppose
to last for a few years-time will tell:-)

Use Policy
- No self-serve printing will be
authorized. Please do not ask the IT computer
tech people to do this, either–it is not their
job to do this sort of thing.
- To get a poster job printed, the requester
needs to make a request at least a week in advance to
assure timely service. The requester will need
to provide Lisa with a printing ready file, and
a deadline by which the printout needs to be ready.
For requests made with less than a lead time, it
may not be possible to meet the request, if demand
is high. Please respect this caveat–the
department does not have the resources to replace
CopyCat or Kinko's.
- If you are asking for a poster that is
associated with a meeting for which you anticipate others
will be requesting posters, then it is better to
give at least two weeks notice. If a big rush of
jobs comes in at any time, and it is not clear
that all can be accommodated, first-come-first
served will be the policy.
- For the present,
only printing requests from members of the Chemistry Department
community can be accommodated. Please do not ask on behalf
of others. This is a matter of extending the lifetime of
the printer, and of making due with the personnel we
have available to assist with such requests.
- Lisa will commit
to assisting those making requests
to "fine-tune" their poster to satisfaction, where
the fine-tuning is a matter of making the printer
produce the desired output with acceptable quality.
This means that the requester is expected not to
make multiple requests for correction of errors or
changes in content, without submitting a new request
with consequent recharge. This is a matter of asking
requesters to do their work on the computer to get
what is desired **before** asking for printout.
