A minimum of fifteen (15) credits of passed chemistry (CHEM) courses (no minimum GPA required) at the 200 level are required for the minor in chemistry. These 15 credits may not include CHEM 291A (Sophomore Seminar), CHEM 388 (BS Independent Research Project), CHEM 391A (Seminar: Writing in Chemistry), CHEM 396 (Independent Study), CHEM 496 (Independent Research), or CHEM 499 Y/T(Honors Research/Thesis). Students petitioning for certification of completion of the minor in chemistry should, during the semester of graduation, present to the Chief Undergraduate Advisor: (a) a completed form “Declaration of an Academic Minor” form available at the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office (Whitmore 213), or the Chemistry Undergraduate Program Office (ISB341), and (b) a copy of the student’s SPIRE undergraduate transcript.
