This molecule made by Rajdeep Kalgutkar as an excellent photochemical radical pair precursor and general photochemical precursor for phenoxyl radicals. A report of the qualitative photochemistry of these BAPA's was published in Rajdeep Kalgutkar, Alexey S. Ionkin, Louis D. Quin, Paul M. Lahti, Tetrahedron Lett., 35, 3889-3892 (1994).
