- Patrick Taylor sends word that he has joined the group of Prof. Larry Dalton at University of Washington as a postdoc. He says that he has an "excellent" view of Seattle and Mt. Ranier every day (presumably when it is not raining, which he did not mention!).
- Zeynep Delen, who recently defended her Ph.D. and returned to Istanbul, is coming back to Amherst as a lab instructor at Amherst College and visiting scholar at UMass-Amherst (with the Thayumanavan group), starting in Fall 2007. We look forward to her return!
- Nibedita Sanyal successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation on 19 March 2007.
- Frank Rossitto sends word that he is a product manager heavily involved in developing polyurethane adhesives at Bostik, Inc. in Middleton MA. He and John Savage are still doing "the band thing" every Thursday night in Boston. He and Jeff Simpson went fishing last summer -- sends word that things were AOK with Jeff. Frank's sons, Nicolas and Daniel (7 and 5 years old, respectively) continue to keep energized, it appears!
- Yanbing Liu sends word that things are going well at AstraZeneca. Her husband is a software engineer now, and her daughter is in the third grade already!
- Lora Field and husband Jason are proud to announce the arrival of their daughter, Rebecca Marie Field, on 29 March 2007 (just in time for dinner, according to Jason). Congratulations to both of you!
- Jitapa Sumranjit (May) has taken a research position at the Thai National Nanotechnology Center in the Thailand Science Park. Congratulations, May, for giving our group another connection to nanoscience!
