Hidenori accomplished much excellent work, including the first discovery by a member of our group of an organic radical that exhibits intermolecular ferromagnetic exchange interactions. Best of luck in your new position Hidenori! Enjoy the spring flowers in Tokyo!
  • A new EPR spectrometer has come to UMass-Amherst, thanks to a grant from the National Science Foundation and matching funds from the University. PML was the main preparer of the grant that brought the machine here, as part of a team of several UMass-Amherst chemistry researchers. Check out this great machine!
  • After more than 20 years of productivity in the Lederle Graduate Research Tower, the Lahti group was assigned to Goessmann 201/202, the best synthetic space in all of the Goessmann lab complex. Organic Chemistry in the modern department began in Goessmann, and our group returns the tradition there. See pictures of our move during the last week of February 2006, and our new lab area!
  • Safo Aboaku and his wife Kate became the proud parents of a son, Kofi Aboaku, in February 2006. Congratulations and best wishes to them all.
